Judgement Day (Remake)

So this is a remake of one of my favorite pictures Judgement Day. (: I'm quite please how this turned out. For those unfamiliar with my older artwork, here is a link to the original picture (: ----> [link]



The day of judgement is upon Scar.

As Scar opened his eyes a cool breeze wrapped around his muzzle and the clean smell of rain engulfed his lungs. He arose, hardly noticing that small twinge in his back no longer pained him.
"Where am I?..."
He was at the top of Pride Rock... but something was different. He couldn't see the lands below, for a thick fog was covering the ground below... and the sky... why the sky looked as if someone had pulled the heavens lower. He saw a bright light, and then a figure in the distance. A star. Curiously he walked to the edge of Pride Rock to realize it was indeed a lion... standing in the fog elevated by the air beneath his paws. Scar approached cautiously "H-hello?" The lion flicked his ear and then turned to face Scar. It was none other than King Ahadi. Scar gasped and jumped back. "Y-y-you?! No! You're dead!"
"Taka... What have you done?!"
"No! Father please! Please have mercy! I-I didn't mean..."
"You killed my Son, You killed the king. You took my lands and desecrated them. This land that once flourished from here to the jungle. If I was still alive I would've killed you myself... but death has brought me more than wisdom since I left this land... It has granted me new sight that I never had before my son..."
Taka's ears flickered at the sound "My Son" for his father had never claimed Taka as his own. Ever.
"I was the one who created that monster inside your heart. I was the one who gave you that hideous Scar, for I never had the sight to see what was really in you. This, this is my fault Taka... and now I will summon that beast you call "Scar" from your heart and soul."
A light wrapped around Scars entire body and a feeling of tremendous pressure released from his body and being. A flash of memories surged through his mind, as the smell of fresh water entered his nostrils.
His legs went weak and he fell to the hard rock, and then... he left. He left his shell, his body, his fur.
"Come and join us Taka, You're free now."
Taka looked to his right and saw a smiling Mufasa... and for the first time in such a long time, he smiled, and meant it.
